One of the first questions on a walk-through is whether the whole house needs doing. Often it doesn't. Sometimes it absolutely does, and it helps to know which before the quotes start coming in. No Australian study has measured whether property styling lifts a sale price. Here is what the research does show, what our own Caulfield North sale did, and what we will not claim for it.

The short answer Between $3,000 and $10,000 for most Melbourne properties. We're aware that publishing a number is unusual. Ring around five stylists and you'll get five versions of "it depends on the property", which is true and also useless when you're trying to work out whether this is a $2,000 decision or a $20,000 one.
